UNFOLDING TOGETHER is a portraiture activity and colouring book.
The book explores the complexity of portraiture researched in my MA dissertation Portraiture as Intervention: Drawing the Dialogical Relationship between Artist, Sitter and Artwork. Based on my performative Drawing Sessions, the book guides readers to draw portraits using the rules made up for me by my portrait subjects. The book is filled with prompts to encourage portrait-making with colouring, tearing and sewing, among other activities.
Published by Pulp Editions, this artist’s book’s first iteration is sold in a limited edition of 83, with a special Secret Belgian Binding, unique inner pages and two pocket inserts of special larger drawings. These are distributed exclusively by Berman Contemporary.
